XSlabaX appreciation post.

XSlabaX is an illustrator from Akron, OH who’s done a lot of work for a lot of really cool bands. Here’s some of the stuff he’s done for Cleveland. He doesn’t really draw that much anymore (at least not requests for bands and stuff) because he’s super busy with his kid and work.  Top Left - This was a sticker drawn for Right Idea’s record release. For those unfamiliar, Right Idea is a solid Cleveland youth crew band with members of Committed, The First Step, and Names For Graves, to name a few.

TOP RIGHT - This is the cover to a rad zine from 2008. There were interviews with rad bands like Balance, and a Face Reality interview from back before they started blowing up. There’s also a section dedicated to solid hardcore artwork AND a re-print of the Judge interview that started the infamous Judge - Integrity zine quarrel.

BOTTOM -  This was a shirt design for Overload, a Cleveland youth crew band from the late 2000’s, in which all but two members eventually broke edge. Multiple members of this band went on to be in Homewrecker, a super rad band currently signed to A389 records and Light Years, which is a cool Get Up Kids-esq pop punk band.
